Janet Saia, originally from the San Francisco Bay Area, is a New York-based singer-actress currently appearing in The Phantom of the Opera at the Majestic Theatre on Broadway. Janet recently appeared with the brilliant cabaret artist Mark Nadler at Sardi’s NYC in “Broadway Hootenanny.”

A graduate of the Boston Conservatory of Music with a B.F.A. in Musical Theatre, Janet has toured the United States, Canada and many parts of Europe performing in productions such as Leonard Bernstein’s Mass (Street Chorus) at Carnegie Hall and The Kennedy Center, the first European tour of Cats (Grizabella), the first national tour of Carousel (ensemble, Mrs. Mullin u/s), 42nd Street (Lorraine), the US premiere of Martin Guerre (swing, Catherine u/s) and The Phantom of the Opera tour (ensemble, Madame Giry u/s).

A versatile performer possessing a wide vocal range in many styles, she has the ability to handle multiple roles such as both the diva Carlotta and the enigmatic dark Madame Giry in Phantom while covering six ensemble roles. Off-Broadway and regional credits include: Night of the Iguana (Maxine Faulk); Cats (JennyAnyDots); I Do, I Do (Agnes) and All Night Strut in Atlantic City (Lead Vocalist) to name a few.

Janet currently resides in Hoboken, New Jersey with her son and husband. She is a proud member of Actor’s Equity Association (AEA).
